I have received 5 messages asking to call that 1800 number, regarding a credit card being overdue. im not even an ANZ customer.

This I just received. For one I looked at all my cards including debits and can't find card ending in that. But concerning that people pulling this crap. Dear MISS Dickeson. Did you know that your ANZ credit card ending in 5450 is overdue by $30.64? Please pay or call us on 1800 814 885 to discuss your options.

Got a message that the Credit Card was over it's limit.
The sms looked valid and professional, but I checked here and realised it was a scam. - Thanks to all for posting

Received a text from this number stating I owed $109 on my credit card, which is all paid up. They then asked for my account password which I refused to give them. My understanding is that the bank would never ask for your password. I have emailed ANZ and they know nothing about it.

I received a mobile message claiming sent from anz and my credit card is over limit and I should call 1800 814885 to pay the fee, etc. But my credit is never over limit. I called this 1800 number and provided my detailed info and later had to cancel my credit card as I was advised by my bank it was a spam.
