I had my computer blocked when I clicked on an app on Facebook (not porn. Just One of those things about friends) I called very cynically but when I had to waitto get through, it was not obvious there are not Microsoft in Australia. I could not turn pc off so I just turned off at Power. I tried turning it back in and it is still not working. The spoken message says it is a Flame virus but my anti virus says I have no virus. Worse still, my anti virus company says to call between 9am and 5pm!!!

Hi,
I got pop up on window that there is some suspicious activity from my IP and asked to call on this no.

They use to say if we will not call to this no, they will report to cyber crime department and my computer will lock.
Totally a scam.

1800 874 934 is a nasty and sophisticated call centre based in India that pretends to be working as or for Microsoft support team.( Apple computers are an easy target). They are fake, fake, fake. Those scums are installing malwares and viruses from popups or with bundles software as Adobe Flash. More important, Adult sites are 98% to be found as their favourite way of passing their viruses. Your internet browser suddenly freeze and your all computer is frozen. Best way is to shut your computer down ( by pressing power button for 20 seconds or to make sure unplug Your computer). Fear and stress will take over with messages saying that your computer has had a virus attack. Restart with a clean browser cache and a run of a antivirus if you have one. Talk to someone if you are not reassured or still in distress. This free phone call number is targeted to Australian 's audience. Note that nothing has changed in your computer system but check if some extensions had been added to your browser. If you do a lot of surfing the net, always run Task Manager that can stop any further damage. Do not let those curry scumbags win.( any clues where you did get that popup or blue screen?)

Scam operation based out of India.
Fix: Use Task Manager to close the window.
Obviously have an inside person at Optus helping them register these numbers. Feel free to call from a blocked number and give them a serve of your filthiest adjectives.

Computer stopped operating with a fault code and then asked to call this number
whereby they then asked to gain control of
computer to rectify problem and when asked
for $300.00 for an engineer to rectify problem alarm bells rang and I said I would call him back. The Indian accented gentleman got very adgitated and said if this wasnt rectified both our computers could be compromised at this point I told him I would call him back which I never did.
